Staff

Behaviour Institute is staffed by Senior Clinicians who provide clinical supervision and ensure program quality. Senior Clinicians have a Masters degree or equivalence. Treatment of children with autism is delivered by Senior and Junior facilitators. Senior facilitators directly work with children and in addition have extra responsibilities to ensure that programming materials are available and that data is collected. Senior facilitators meet with the Psychologist or Senior Clinician on a regular basis. Junior and Senior Facilitators are recruited from university graduates in psychology (or equivalent field) or from those about to graduate.

OUR MISSION
We provide solutions for human development

  • We believe that a child’s progress is dependent on the child’s active engagement in learning activities
  • We provide the highest quality treatment to children and their families, based on empirical evidence of effectiveness, delivered by well-trained and supervised staff, under a structure that ensure continued updating of the child’s program, through direct measurement of the child’s skills.
  • We believe that to the greatest extent possible, children with autism should be allowed access to the same life-quality events in normalized settings (e.g., schools) as other children.
  • We believe that each child is unique and requires an individualized approach to treatment.
  • We believe that successful treatment requires the summed efforts of all of the individuals supporting a child working in concert across settings and over time.
